The Camino de Santiago is “The Way of Saint James” and according to Wikipedia, many Pilgrims follow the various routes to Santiago as a form of spiritual retreat or walking meditation. It is also popular with hiking and cycling enthusiast, organized tour groups, and party hounds. I plan to walk my Way as a spiritual retreat and meditation, but I plan on enjoying an ice cold beer or two at the end of each day and a glass of wine with my Pilgrim dinner.
